Attending a Messy Monkeys session is a great way for your child to explore different materials and textures, learn about cause and effect and to develop motor and language skills. Free and creative play is an essential part of a child’s learning process, assisting in the understanding of science and maths, as well as developing talent in arts and crafts.
Messy Play is a fabulous way of allowing young children to gain confidence in their own imagination. At Messy Monkeys we focus on the process and not the product allowing children the freedom to create their own masterpieces to take home. We provide opportunities for free play that you couldn’t encourage at home…we clean up the mess so your walls, carpets and sofas are safe from messy monkey paws!
Sessions with Messy Monkeys help to focus your child's seemingly endless energy while encouraging the development of social skills and communication; sharing materials and experiences, taking turns playing alongside and with their new friends, as well as allowing you grown-ups the opportunity to have a chat too…Dads included!
We provide ‘Baby Sessions’ with strictly limited numbers, encouraging a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in which to start having some messy fun with your baby. Each session allows your child to get hands (and feet) on with different gloops and goos, explore how things work with the messy tools and have a go at creating something special to take home.
Once your little monkey is steady on their feet they are welcome at our Toddler Sessions which are less structured to allow freedom and autonomy in their choice of Messy Play.

Each term lasts 6 weeks, with a different theme and new materials each week, allowing plenty of time for enthusiastic as well as our slightly hesitant, timid monkeys to find their messy feet.
